A virtual college and career exploration program for all Missouri high school students is being co-chaired by Pattonville High School college and career preparation coordinator and counselor Ms. Michelle Luraschi.
The Pattonville Board of Education meeting on Sept. 8 will take place in person at 7 p.m. at the Pattonville Learning Center. The board, staff and all others in attendance must wear a face mask at all times while in the building. Physical distancing will be followed during the meeting, with all attendees seated six feet apart. To comply with the St. Louis County capacity mandates ensure physical distancing, in-person attendance will be limited to 25 people.
Holman has stopped using Google Classroom and moved to a new tool called Canvas for all virtual learning. We have also dropped Google Meet and now will use Zoom instead. These tools will give teachers a lot more options to create virtual learning activities that will better mimic what would have happened in the classroom. This web site shows how students will access all their classes now and it includes a video demonstrating the process. Students will follow a normal schedule 1st through 7th hour starting at 8:10am and will connect with their teachers online using prepared instructional materials and live instruction. Teachers have been working hard learning the new systems and are excited to get started and "see" their students. https://sites.google.com/psdr3.org/firstdayessentials/home
The Holman Pirate Times, the student newspaper at Holman Middle School, was the top-scoring middle school student publication in the American Scholastic Press Association’s (ASPA) Scholastic Newspaper Awards for 2020. This is the fifth consecutive year that Holman topped this national list of award-winning middle schools in their category.
